A low revving 2-stroke sounds a lot like a rotary - like rocks in a coffee tin.

You haven't heard a Commer Knocker.  They sound like hammers in a 44.

I meant dirt bike 2 strokes! Detroit Diesel 2 strokes are loud too.

Being as I picked this up from a paddock, I stripped the inside to find any rust - it's pretty good considering, and I only found one bit I didn't know was there in the bottom of the Targa bar.

I stripped back the boot floor, which had lots of surface rust breaking through, rust converted and hit with KBS, same as I did for the Torana.

Had a prod around the D/S of the Targa bar, where a little plastic cover on the outside introduces water into it, and yep, rooted. I drilled the spot welds off incase I could just patch it, but the curved line means i need a shrinker stretcher to make, and I haven't got to that level yet! I am ringing around wreckers for one, they just unbolt, or can buy new panels from OS through Ebay. The Sierra was called the Samurai OS and also a Drover here, so lots of options.

Found lots of nods to this thing's farm life.

I still have huge spiders emerging from it from time to time, but otherwise it's in good nick. Just this other patch to make while I sort the Targa bar, and some minor rust on panels.

It's really easy to work on, takes up space inthe garage, and I don't feel the pressure I did with the Torrie. It's just fun! Probably should have started on a project like this in the first place.

Not a lot of room to swing a .243 around in there!
