Anyone got pictures or diagram of the actual positioning of the pipework coming from the rear?

I need diameters also please plus fuel tank breather lines that end up in the wheel wells some where?

Mine are missing or a mess.

At a stage where I need some help.

What filter is at the end of the fuel tank breather lines in the wheel wells? Do they need to be in the wheel wells? Can they be run elsewhere?

Cheers mate yes it looks like they both go to a fuel tank liquid/vapor separator then to the canister.

So now I'm after one of those I suppose.

I made new wheel arch breather pipes from brake tube. 

 

Is the seperator required ? 

Beats me ! I fitted a BD droptank & i never used it.

You probably dont need the separator but the canister may be needed for ADR , could just run the right pipe to canister , I think before the change in ADR the only vents were thin tubes with a "pigtail" in the wheel arch.

Thanks for the info guys I might go with one of these for rego purposes up the arse end somewhere.

From the start of LH until Jan 1975 (ADR 27) there was no fuel separator or carbon canister. The fuel tank was vented to the rear wheel arches. (I always look under there when dating Torana bodies as there are two small tabs welded on for the pipes.) From Jan 1975 until Jan 1976 (ADR 27A) the fuel tank was sealed with a different cap and removal of vent pipes, and the 4 port carbon canister was added. From Jan 1976 onwards the canister had three ports.

Have you got a link to that item Brad? I'm putting a canister in my HK as I hate the fuel smell out of pre 1/75 Holdens without canisters. I'm venting the tank out of the standard HK breather plus the one out of the adapted VZ MRA unit, but I'm worried about it bringing fuel to the front of the car up the canister line given the height of a HK tank relative to the vapour line to the front. So a separator like that would potentially fit nicely under the car in front of the tank.

I have a three nozzle canister and no tabs in the wheel wells. Just to make that clear.

I also have some mount in the rear LHS that could hold a seperator.

Here's a pic of mine. I remember it was a pain routing it all at the time but the tab/brackets on the underbody give you a fair idea how it all runs. Cheers Ron
