This is obviously having a huge impact on a lot of people... my phone did not stop ringing and beeping for 2 solid hours... so many people in total shock.. me included... what a shame... I had the pleasure of meeting Pete several times, always attended Brockie's Big Day Out For Charity, shook his hand many times, and had all sorts of stuff signed, which is still proudly on display at home... such a great influence in my life, such a genuine, nice bloke, always with so much time for his fans like myself....
You will be missed Brockie.

Thats a great idea Steve.I am shattered I am in shock, i just heard the news.
I don't know what to say.
This day should now become an official Torana cruise day in memory of the great PETER BROCK.
May he rest in peace and never be forgotten.
Steve
The weekend either before or after Sept 8 should now be a GMH-Torana forum tribute cruise across the country in memory of Peter Brock.

Then we got official confirmation that it was true and infact Peter did pass away in the crash and co driver was air lifted to Royal Perth Hospital.
96fm will be replaying his last interview just this morning at 5:00pm WA time so get on their web site and have a listen.
I am devestated only just this May I named my first son Brock after the great man and will now find it hard to try and tell him about this tradgic event which has unfolded today.
I am also planning to head to Melbourne for his memorial service if any others from Perth would like to join me we can maybe get a group from Perth attend to gether.
We as a club will also be heading up to the site of the crash next weekend to pay our respects and lay a wreath in his honour. All are welcome to join us will post further details of meeting place and time when things are sorted.
Sad loss of a Australian Legend. RIP Peter Brock

Peter Brock was and always will the greatest of them all. Harry, Peter & Colin
made our cars what they are today, their blood and sweat are the lifeline in all Toranas.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Our thoughts and condolences to his family & friends.
R.I.P. Peter Brock.
He is up there looking down on us.

The Members Family & Friends of the Canberra Torana Club join with Peter's family, friends, colleagues and fellow Holden fans in mourning the passing of Peter Brock. Peter, despite his other significant commitments, was a true inspiration and readily accessible, always finding time to spend with Club members and fans alike.

I grew up as a big brock fan I remember as a kid my favourite t shirt for going out with "BROCK GETS MOBILSED" on the front with the unflared new vk on it wich I got from bathurst, the place were 1000's of people went to watch the king of the mountain.
Now every year when bathurst is on I just watch the historic clips at the begining becuase the race is pretty boring but it wasn't always.
Ive noticed a increase in brock signed stuff on ebay wich is strange becuase getting a signature from the king was easy, he sure was no stuck up celebrity dickhead like some of the less talented drivers so there must be heaps of signed stuff out there, I even have his sig on my fc under 2k clear.
race drivers come and go but no one will ever be able to match the king of the mountain or be rememberd in Australian motorsport like Peter Brock.
