They are a fantastic car to drive. I loved my V2, it simply wasn't getting used and they are too modern (as in full of electric sh!t) to leave sitting around unused. V2's are still quite affordable too, they are a far better car for trips as they have a boot rather than a rear glove compartment! Apart from my SII RX7, the V2 was the first car I owned that I could get in and drive until I needed fuel, and when I got out, I wasn't walking like I was 80 years old. That memory has stuck with me, and is why I'm using V2 seats in my HK GTS, I bought a pair out of a 10,000kM old wreck and have leather conditioned and stored them ready to use.

I have enjoyed owning two GTO Coupes, 2002 and a 2005. Error of judgement in selling the 2005 several years ago as it did not have the towing capacity l needed.

Its Fusion. Tiger was earlier.
I looked at a few GTO when I bought my V2, they were the same/similar prices. I didn't buy them for two reasons: Not a Monaro and to my eyes HSV made them look less attractive. Looks good in black though, in silver they didn't look right.

Sold my 05 in 2018 for $47,000 with 75,000km but still made money on it.

If you buy a HSV coupe, the one you ideally want is a V2 GTS. These have the 200kW Callaway engine. Pretty pricey though.
