The first question I have is what does it do? Has anyone got a picture of one in a hatchback? And did all Toranas get them at some point including UC?

Isn't that just the standard fuel tank vapour separator (fitted once canisters were fitted from 1/75)? Just raised higher to account for fitment of larger/higher fuel tanks in race cars?

AFAIK only A9X had the fuel vapour separator raised up above floor pan height inside a box.

All other LH & LX models were mounted under the floor pan.

Co-incidentally I read about this somewhere in GMH literature in the last week. Looking for something else and moved on. Now you've raised it I'll go looking where I saw it. Edit - found and attached the front page.

And whilst looking for it found something else out in the LX POA docs:

N66, the 13x6 steel "sports" wheels. Was replaced at some stage with N67, the 13x6 alloy jellybeans. It says that N67 was to be introduced as soon as possible after the introduction of lightweight calipers. There must have been an issue with LH style cast iron calipers and fouling on alloy 13" wheels. My 2/76 SL hatchback had N67 on it.

They just had what a Holden (and Statesman) had.

On a Holden they are the rally/sports wheels that were fitted to GTS (not called GTS wheels though), and N67 are the alloy 14" replacement that started on Sandman and GTS mid 1978 (also fitted to HZ SL/E mid 1979). This is Torana though, N66 simply means the sports wheel which is the 13x6, and N67 is the 13" alloy jelly-bean style.

That's them. They may have been spare part wheels, like you could still buy HT-HG rims into the 80's as new rims. I had a few of them in the shed but sold one, gave some away and threw the others away, were hard to get rid of as back then everyone was still putting 14" wheels on every Torana.

Those wheels above (9929130) are listed a PO N66 "sports option" for LH/LX.

Terry, that is where the wheels topic in this thread originally came from, post 9. I found where N67 replaced N66 and it basically says that they couldn't replace N66 until the lightweight calipers were fully in use. N67 became the sports wheel at some stage early in LX, just not sure exactly when as the POA doc page where it his has that revision over-written. My 2/76 LX hatchback had N67 wheels on it.
