Hey we are hoping with your help, to fill in the missing pieces to our LJ Torana puzzle.

 

We have skinny tag, tag with paint and trim etc, and the stamp on the inner wheel arch.

We are missing the tag that goes near the firewall with build month/date.

 

Body number/Chassis number: ALJ09345A

 

2 Door LJ Torana S

Black Trim

Adelaide Build

 

We are hoping someone can help us figure out the build month and year.

 

Building our car is a great adventure and we enjoy connecting with like minded people along the way.

Chassis number ALJ 09345A is consistent with July 1972 manufacture. Probably mid month or thereabouts.

thread steal sorry, can you tell me where mine was built? I have all the tags and original owners manual etc. 
VIN 82311/ L248682 built 7/73.

82311JL208070 was completed on the 14/07/1972 and sold during July 1972 by dealer 435 - Booran Holden, Caulfield, VIC.

The original engine number recorded in the VML is CB176273 (2250cc H.C 6cyl), coupled to a TH 180 Tri-matic transmission, 2.78:1 ratio std differential and drum brakes on all wheels.
