Hi Everyone
My black 308 (probably out of a VK) is randomly misfiring and spluttering. For the last month, I have had the interior out as I have changed the shifter in it (was a Gemini Auto Shifter now it's a factory LC/LJ shifter). Prior to all this it was running fine, I noticed it a few weeks ago when I had it up on stands and I was testing to see it would start with the new shifter wired up, it was missing at idle and the fuel fumes (and raw fuel coming out of the exhaust) was unbearable in the garage. Today I took for for spring after putting it all together and it was sputtering and missing.
Its a Rochester Carbed motor which I haven't touched.
Is it possible that I have messed up wiring somewhere?
It cant be the wiring related to the neutral start switch can it?
Maybe a vacuum line somewhere ?( On the tranny as I was mucking around with linkages?)
Thoughts?
Any help appreciated.
