I’m about kick over my LS3 Hatch and wondering if there’s any engine priming procedures or special lubricants I need?

also I’m running a moroso sump with the original ls dipstick and unsure of the placement?

Any help would be great thanks.

I used a standard dip stick but shortened the tube so I had to shorten the stick, did it be measuring with the sump off and comparing to the original and then made my marks on the stick by adding minimum oil and then full oil.

If you are using the original dip stick and the original tube in the same location it should be ok as it already suits the engine, sump shouldn't matter as long as it doesn't hit the tray with the Moroso being a rear hump.

Fill with oil and crank with ignition disconnected until you get oil pressure.

Then reconnect ignition, crank it and spank it!
