Good morning all

finally after 8 years I’ve got the LH 192 on the road .
Have original temp light hooked up but want to run gauge also , question is can I tee off light sensor port in head or is there another spot that will work

thanks 😊

Lower thermostat housing is probably the best spot. Then you can leave the idiot light sender in the head. You need a dedicated sender for a gauge, and any temperature sender needs to be in the coolant flow, unlike pressure.

You can't run a temp sender off a T-piece, the water must pass near the sender. With a T-piece the temp sender is too isolated & will read too low.

You can T-piece an oil pressure sender, but not a temp sender.
