Hi all,

I know the info i need is on the site somewhere but have been looking and cant find it. What is a good baseline setting for the mixtures on the CD 175 carbs. Standard internal 173  with good exhaust and electronic ignition in a LJ if it helps.

Copied from another site: TURN MIXTURE SCREW. (1) IN UNTIL IT JUST TOUCHES AIR VALVE, THEN BACK OUT 3 TURNS.. (BASIC SETTING).

The LJ Torana factory specification is to wind the jet down 2 1/4 turns from when it just starts to lift the piston. But I've heard that 2 1/2 turns down works better for some people.

For the throttle stop screws(idle speed screws) wind them out so that they are no longer touching the spindle lever, slowly screw them in until they just touch the spindle lever and then screw them in another 2 complete turns.

Another important XU1 carby set-up thing is to make sure that the dampers are empty. i.e. no oil added.
