They look good, although they need mobile phone coverage to work. Here in WA, coverage has gone to sh#t in the country areas since 3G was shut down. Only in the country though. The city slickers don't seem to be affected.

I have been trying one out in a VF Wagon for a few weeks. Just sitting inside the console bin at the moment so the only steel in the way is the roof.
Seems to work well. Signal strength is usually reported as "great" or better. One report of "poor" this morning in the middle of the freeway but still could see its location.
I am happy with performance.

I’m also thinking about trying one out.
Cheers,

For those playing along at home , and following the VF Commodore/HSV theft-a-thon - I thought these devices?? were discussed in that arena with the chat being along the lines of -
Good thing
Needs to be wired in, or the device's internal battery life needs to be considered.
The grubs/skanks/skid kids/parts dealers etc who steal the cars by using their fancy Key re-programmers ( not for Xu1s obviously) etc, also have 'tracker locators' and can quickly locate said tracker and remove it/ transfer it to a school bus etc.
That's all from a month or so ago/from memory, so don't hold me to it.
Regardless of the fors/againsts, you need to do something to protect your investment/pride and joy.
