Hi There, hopng someone can give me some advice. I have a LX Torana Hatchback running an EFI 5.0L V8. (Turbo 700 Auto) The problem I have is when I turn the key to accessory the same circuit as when I turn the key to 'On' is activated.

Obviously a wiring problem but I'm stumped, do I need to pull the steering column apart to get to the wiring? Any tips are gratefully received.

Undo the 3 bolts that attach the column to the frame and lower the column. The ignition switch has two small hex head screws that attach it to the column. Loosen those a bit and you can adjust the ignition switch. See if that fixes the problem, if so retighten the screws in the right position.
