I’m totally confused as to whether or not I need to drill out any of the pilot holes for exhaust crossover ect.
I’ve got early red heads on a red motor, both HQ I think.
Do I need to drill anything or just send it how it is out of the box?

The manifold that’s currently on the engine has a bolt where it’s blanked off on the performer.
Is it necessary to drill that out or can I just send it with no meddle bolt?

Yes you use the middle hole and put brass welsh plugs into the other two holes. Stick the gasket on it and you’ll see the alignment.

Why the need for welsh plugs if it’s already blocked off?

If the holes are blind then all good. I’ve only ever seen the KC valley covers with all 3 holes drilled.
