Bought a rare spares glovebox lock.
Destroyed the old one trying to remove it, but you live and learn.
1.Read a parts manual that says there should be a washer between the nut and the glovebox lid. No washer in the RS pack. Do we need a washer? If so what type?
2. How do you tighten the nut? Has an octagonal shape
Thankyou for any help

Hi Indy Orange

Thankyou for the thread link, i have already read through this one.

"Installation: reverse removal operations" - fair enough, but as im not real bright i was hoping someone had some actual tips for installation, steps, pics etc.

Also doesn't answer my question about the washer??

If the washer is pictured in the diagram, them I would say you’d need it.
