LJ inner guard fitment ?

does anyone have any experience with replacement LJ inner guards ?

 

The guard i bought looks to need a lot of work to fit  

 

One of the problems being the indention's where the k-frame bolts pass through the rail

they are on the wrong angle ? thinking they need to be more upright

I have fitted these skirts I can't remember having any problems with them.

Must be my crappy luck . Are they all made in the same place ?

 

Definitely something not right.

 

Spent some time today cleaning up the thick tar that was on the passengers side to compare

Also the guard may be little too long and there is a bit of a gap between the rail
