We will be advising the Police of this run due to large number of cars likely to attend. So if anyone wants to act like a tool then they'll suffer the consequences. I'd like think that everyone will be respectful of this event as it's not just any old club run.,Sep 13 2006, 02:16 AM] Sincerely hope there isnt a high dickhead factor on this cruise as it has been advertised on a few forums who are frequented by spankers who see cruises as an excuse to act like a hero in front of a large group of others. Reconsidering my mode of transport now as i dont want 2 smashed Toranas

The 2 gemini clubs will be in attendance to... Everyone should be well behaved unless the rice cookers show up and pull their usual hoon antics (seams its been posted on antilag.com which is a worry)

I am certain that none of the members of this forum would behave in any manner other than exemplary, so i have no concerns in that respect!
I hope that the other atendees realise that this is a MEMORIAL. Not a cruise or a run or a festival.. It is to remeber a racing legend.
Hopefully people will realise this and travel well below the posted speed limits, as well as act respectfully at all times. I also hope that showing your membership of this forum by way of shirts and/or stickers will also help to identify us as a good group of people.
Best of luck guys i hope it works out.

There was an extrememly large cruise here in WA a few weeks back which was filming a DVD for a Sydney production company, they counted nearly 500 cars. Police were informed, yet the first meet point was like a Powercruise (burnouts, attempted drifting, revving engines, car stereos). There was also 4 accidents on the cruise due to drivers ambitions not quite meeting their capabilities.
The second and final destination on the cruise did however have police there, dozens of them, with sticker books in hand.
This whole cruise seems to be attracting the same people who attended that cruise. I just hope the dickheads dont wake up that early

I have spoken to a Police officer who said they will be happy to help us out and stop traffic at the major right turn we will encounter and will be sorting details with them tomorrow. This being the case, everyone will have to behave in a manner befitting the reason we are there. I sure hope so anyway.
I will be going to check on the parking issue on Saturday to try and make the event as smooth as possible.
Yes, it does appear that the crowd is going to be large, so we will have overflow parking at the start, in front of the tile shop/mower shop etc for those who know the area.
I would like to see headlights on all vehicles as a mark of respect during the cruise, we might have to remind each other to turn them off later but.
Let's just hope the idiot factor stays at home.
We will have some special stickers available, but it's first in best dressed.
As for the shirt thing, I will be taking pics so as long as there are a few wearing them when laying the wreathes, I will get the pics, and get Troy to host them on here.
Greg, I believe Rob has contacted you to arrange picking you up, so we will see you there.
Cheers,
Neil

have a good day out.
You should be able to keep everyone in check and run a good show.
God, isn't the HB ready YET Neil?? With Rob grabbing one too, I'd have thought that you'd be getting into it, hehehe The cruiser would have been nice to have too.
Wish you all a good day out, and don't be shy if coming to the right coast.
Grant..

He's got so many Torrie's now he doesn't know which one to work on.
The truth is that he'll have one of his stockers up & going soon.
But we do have a book running on who get's their HB going first & Rob is odds on for that.

Rob's purchase has spurred us on and we will be getting into the B as soon as the LH stocker is back from the paint shop. It is spread all over the floor right now so there's no room to play with the B. Troy could vouch for that, it may be a big shed, but it's FULL!
Thanks for the good wishes Grant, we might be venturing over to Sydney next year, I've already told Dangerous we may call past and visit en route, so what's a bit more travel?
Cheers all.
Neil.
I'll deal with you later, Mr T!

Out at Mallala (SA) tomorrow for the V8 development series round, we have a parade lap of muscle cars at 9:30 AM, a minute of silence just before 10, and a Brock tribute cruise lap or two at 3 PM. A number of the race cars at the meet are carrying Brock tribute stickers as well. Hopefully some pics up next week.
Dangerous.
