As per type GMH Workshop Manual, where do you consider full on the 308 dipstick? Oil to the line just prior to the letter F in the word full? Or oil to the first L in the word full?

I think my engine is overfull……!

Reckon the line mate.
That's how I've always read it.
Below the bottom line = needs more, nagging issue of is oil starvation happening?
Above the upper line = oops, too much, with the nagging issue of am I aereating the oil? i.e. crank slapping oil and making bubbles?
Bearings don't like bubbles.

Gahhhhh. My stash of HPR30 is basically good for the bin. Only had a 5 year shelf life. Must have got carried away and bought a heap when on special. Man…. The years just blow by…

I’ll use the container with a 12/21 mfg date.
