Lovely!!

I stripped the UC front end in this lovely 34C up here...!! and the SLR one as well. Will clean and paint the UC stuff tomorrow then have a go at the rear flares on the car to get it to the panelbeater. Got a new battery so will see if it starts..he says the fuel pump is stuffed..we will see.Brake pedal goes to the floor but hand brake works though the release isnt attached under the dash..need to feel up there and press the lever to release. Work has commenced!! Datto!

P.S. I think this thread is heading for a record!

Weren't you going with a Toploader ?
If so I'd use the Ford slave cylinder and rig up a 5/8" or 3/4" (depending on pedal ratios) trailer type generic master cylinder under the dash.
That way its not sitting on a stupid angle on the firewall and the hydraulic ratios are better matched

Unless your springing for a pedalbox

Nice pedal setup, but a bit much for this car, but i'll look into the other parts you suggested-yes using a wide ratio top loader

See, that's how his car cost over 140k to build.

How do they compare in the marketplace , much to choose from?

When do the doors on Datto's Stop Shop open?

hmm is there a cheaper alternative pedal box similar in design??
Id love floor mounts, i wonder if there legal in road cars?? Porches and VW's have floor mount setup dont they??
Anyway im looking at getting something like that but preferably cheaper, perhaps Willwood??
What you reckon??

Welby
Of course I'm not competative in the market place
I have 8 cars to feed you know
And I said I'd build your car for a forum members discount price of $120k

I know we could work out a proper price after I contact the supplier as that price was a guess.

The other pedalboxes in the market place are usually only 2 pedal and don't offer a throttle
Some do ..... like AP..... but at about $3k most people get abit scared
The Decel is an almost direct rip of the Tilton equivelent
But not sure what its worth as yet

Bart..... you get what you pay for. I was looking at the Wilwood pedals this morning. There is no comparison really. They are mass produced and mostly cast alloy
I don't know if they have a floormount....... I didn't look too closely
They certainly don't do a reverse swinging which is a shame cause thats what I was looking for.
They will still do the job but having said that a 253 would still be a V8 where a 308/355/383/VH45 is a much nicer thing..... right ?

Lease is signed ...... just need to get some money from the bank to get it setup
And since I'm currently out of work the bank doesn't seem to want to give me any
Talking to a finance broker tomorrow
All going well the doors should be open mid Jan.

Yeah, ok. Well as the chief supplier of stop to team welby, if you reckon it's what we need, tell the bank you've got clients waiting.

Good luck with the Broker.

If it stalls , let me know, ytou might need an investor.

Done that...fit them and the rear flares and cut the rear guards this weekend. Then its basically ready for the panelbeaters..after we drop the truck off and he does that. Then headlining is fitted then off to NOS' mate to weld in the roll cage. Also this weekend I will get all the nolathene bushes from the full kit I bought pressed into the front suspension subframe..clean and paint that and probably fit the spindles and Willwoods on the HQ discs. So it will be sitting on the floor ready to go in. Got the gears..bolted up the crown wheel to the full spool..fitted perfect. I will get the Aussie Diff guys to fit the pinion and the full spool and crown wheel after they weld all the brackets on the B/W. Better experts mesh the diff then me...they know what they are doing. NOS...didnt even think..My boss was here and could have taken the nose cone down for you..Barry Singleton (the guy that destroyed his March F2 at Noosa) passed through on Tues and will be coming back soon so if he drops in I will get him to take it but you will have to meet him on the road as he lives in Boonah but will come down the Gateway anyway.
