They are the right thread..just cross threaded out of the box!..Took it off..got my mate with me to put the old one back on..screwed on perfect..new one..no way...stuffed around with it then stuffed the thread..no refund now...go to Supercheap for that one I think. Pissed off. But..as said..REAL happy with the rack...not even 1mm of slack in it..I had extra shims I took to Parkys..he knows his stuff..shimmed it up to perfection...had 1 win at least! :spoton:

There's always some things you can count on.
Repco will always live up to their name, Rip Every Poor C#@t Off.

From memory, HK series use left and right handed thread tie rod ends, but this was change to a universal tie rod end in the LH-LX. I don't think a lot of 'parts people' realise this, and people end up being supplied a left and a right when they need two 'rights'. It wouldn't surprise me if the wrong one then gets returned after the owner/mechanic damages the thread trying to screw it on, and it just gets put back on the shelf again.

The TE195 use on Toranas is same as the bigger Holdens
They use an L and an R for inner and outer due to running a steering box
Whereas we just run an R on each end of the rack
So not unusual to get the wrong one

They are both r/h threads...so is the rack...it was just stuffed in the box...funny that it wasnt the one that was opened in the plastic bag...the one that went on ok was the open one..Life is like that sometimes..win some..lose some..
