Change of plan...as the Simmons B45s done right look exactly like the original CAC rims used in 76...NOS and I are off on a tangent to use them..I have my centres..NOS a set of 15x10 and 15x8...as usual..!! :furious: :gun:

I'll take some pics of Kev's V5, it has a spacer between the centre and the outer rim-they were actually ford rims!-the spacer moves his wheel out more, its really close to the rear chassis rail lip-inner towards the back, and the shock too, but with the offset of his V5 the bloody wheel gets under the standard gaurd...without the flare! Plenty of room to move outwards though...

Which wheels won't cover the brakes Rory? Are the wheels or the Wilwoods getting the flick? I hope it wasn't the Simmons that were a problem because my new 15X8 V5's for the front are on there way!!! and I've got exactly the same brake set up as you.
Fingers crossed

I'm not racing mine and I've got no problem with wheels spacers(especially since I've already bought the brakes and wheels) So I'll use the Wilwoods, Simmons, wheel spacers and wait for Datto to say Told ya so!!!

Got any long 7/16 wheel stud Dattoman?

Nope
I spec up to 1/2" and use ARP

However Welby has 10 super long 7/16 ARP's Harrop installed in the diff by mistake (should have been 1/2")
He might want to part with those as they are good for nothing

Have a look at the pic of his diff/hubs to see how long they are

Hey Datto, what affect does this have on wheel nut selection also does the wheel nut holes in the wheel need modifying?

They touch at the top on full lock...the last pic shows that the steering arm isnt touching the bump stop yet ..so that needs to be packed out to stop them going so far...I doubt they will go under 15 x 8 Simmons.

Can the caliper mount to the front? Would that make any difference? I've already ordered and payed for the wheels and they are somewhere between Retros and my place! Maybe I will have to look for a different style caliper!!$$$???
Thanks for the pics Rory

Cant do the front as you would have to grind away the caliper to clear the tierod end too much like here
