hey rorym let us know how the HQ callipers go as im currently rebuilding a uc front end and doing the whole hq stubs and brakes thing. I got me a set of fully reconditioned callipers for $140 thought that was pretty good considering the wreckers wanted $90 for crappy pair.

Nup, we're #@$^%&.

Might as well park her up and go fishing.

14 x7' nor 14 x8's will fit.

Retro Richard is scratching his head as well.

:furious: :fool:

Welby

Have him call me and I'll talk him thru what we need

What about making a spacer witch gets bolted to the front of the disk and use bigger studs?

Surely if you were to machine a spacer the thickness requierd then have it bolt to the disk face it would be safe and allowed?

Hey Rory
Just curious and not that it might have mattered much but I still have a question

When you asked me what Wilwoods to buy I told you 120-7476
And yet you bought 120-7429 (listed in your ebay sale)

Any reason for this ?

120-7476 fit a 1.1" disc 7429 fit a 1.25" disc
I believe they still hang out the same distance as they change the mount offset to suit anyway...... but just thought I'd ask

I went with what all the HQ racers were using..thinking if it fitted them then all would be fine...didnt matter...the spacing was stiill..15mm.out side the caliper on both units...

Making fast progress. It's looking great.
Pitty about all the brake/wheel dramas you guys are having.
I should have got shots of Waynes new set up on the Hatch. It may have been of some help. Nascar parts and at a good price from the states. I should be able to get some shots at the next race meeting but thats not for around 3 weeks but that's more than likely too late for you guys.

OK..I scored 4 -15 x 8 Challengers..2 brand new and 2 used...I will trial fit them to see how I go..then I am biting the bullet and buying 2 - 15 x 10 rears...if they fit the front I will get 2 more..if not..I will run 8 fronts and 10 rears..if they do I will use the 8s as my wets.

Moving forward..The OZ $ is too good at the moment Vs. the US...So..ordered the Chev pistons..SCAT rods, MSD 6AL and crank...build on the motor starts now..355ci...6500rpm limit....all grunt in the middle where I need it...Challenger 15 x 8 wheels arrive tomorrow..braided front lines coming..better get a rear screen seal and get the front and back glass in...masking and painting the engine bay and under bonnet on the weekend.Dropping off the seats to be recovered tomorrow... Here we go!!! :spoton:
