I know exactly what u mean Rorym. Got a new set of pacemakers for my HK monaro and thought i'd ring around the exhaust shops in Bundy. Prices where from $750 to $780. I got them delivered from VPW in melbourne for $630 to my door.

Finished the windscreen sticker today....what a bitch!..Had to work out how to bend it! Outside is finished.
Also did a recalc on the final drive...3.45 with the slicks which are only 23.3 inches...equates to having a 3.9 diff!..I think it will accelereate!...the std wets are 25.5 inches...makes a huge difference.

Been doing gear calc on slicks and wets with different ratios...3.45 with slicks turns into a 3.9 because of tyre height...It will accellerate well!

3.08 Slicks Wets, KPH

1st 83 , 85
2nd 119 , 123
3rd 169 , 174
4th 229 , 237

3.45

1st 74 , 76
2nd 106 , 110
3rd 151 , 155
4th 205 , 211

Might talk to 82911 and get his thoughts..I am thinking I will stick with the 3.45 for the start...then if I run longer circuits change to the 3.08 but I do like the idea of a 105mph 3rd gear on the 3.08.

The 3.45 looks like the hillclimb , sprint ratio for the moment.

So when am i due for a visit R???

Ie, whens it gonna be done!!!

Though i was talking to Ads, and he agreed that if you get a welder then we may have to do a road trip on my two bikes (the 600 and the harley) to your place to teach you to use it lol, ie good excuse to go for a ride. Pity his bike is in bits otherwise he could ride it. I really should be in the shed polishing engine bits for him....Oh well.

Cheers.
