Hope this video works..
Got fuel pissing out the top of the new pressure regulator unit...no idea on that one.
Fired first go..
65/70 psi straight away at idle...wound it over for a bit first to pump it up.
That cam is FARKING HUGE!!!

No other problems..

Pulled the regulator apart for a look...it has a brass circular pressure ball sitting in the middle of the diaphram...It appears the fuel is just going around the diaphram...weird system...
2 other probs...electric fan isnt kicking in but if we direct wire it it is OK..so the relay/temp sender seems to be faulty...
and a brand new thermostat was faulty..wouldnt open to flow the water so I took it out and all was flowing OK..
Hiccups...hiccups...but all minor thank God..
Sheet it sound tough though!

R, thats how most bypass regulators work. The diaphragm should open up to allow excess fuel pressure back into the return line, but as far as direct flow though it theres nothing to stop it. Thats why there so good!!!!

Sounds like your getting her sorted nice and fast!

Cheers.

Think the fuel is passing between the edge of the diaphram and the brass centre piece..allowing it to come up to the top above the diaphram...dont think it is supposed to do that..

It sholudent be able to?

Should be sandwiched between two pieces of the brass centre piece...

Im just going by my Aeropro one though, Holley is known to be strange.

If you tug at it slighty you can see the edge of the diaphram..think it should be pinched between the top and bottom of the brass centre piece..not so..

If you cant get it to squeeze better perhaps you could get a bit of RTV silicone and wipe around it, then let it dry.

Dodge i know but would be ok just to test if this is the problem or not.

Cheers.

Trying to find clear reinforced 18mm ID hose...none around...only in green..will get some to replace..need a low K& N kit about 2" high and dump the 3" filter..then I can get the 1" spacer back in under the carb.
