Well I haven't commented here for a bloody long time (I haven't been able to see the pics... something about Rory's photobucket that doesn't agree with the school's web blocker. Maybe this really is porn )

But I'm gunna go ahead here and say that Rory definitely deserves project of the... well, 2 years. If we could all take a leaf out of his book, our projects would all be finished. Well done mate, a true credit to you, and I hope I get to see (/be passenger in/drive? :deal:) the beast one day.

We never said 100% replicas, cars for having fun in, speed on tweed etc, 308 parts are dearer than chev parts-good example 383 chev crank $350 holden 355 or 383 crank about 3times that at least, yes they're getting alloy heads, as for prices it pays to have an engine builder for a mate. The cars arent being built to satisfy anyone else's thoughts or ideas on what a proper replica should be, we're building these cars to go fast and have fun in, we're not looking at competing against 100% original or correct cars..Being exact cost's to much these days

spot on comments
do it for yourself :spoton:

Well, you didnt even bite Rory, mate you have done a super job, has been a great read, all we need now is another 15 cars built to the calibar of yours, then we will have a top little class to start, without the big dollar start up cost. Credit to you mate, cant wait to have a blast with you this year.

Rod,
Get another engine builder and put your entry in to Speed on Tweed!! :D

Hope it saves people from making too many mistakes if they are building a similiar car...

Add in NOS, Sam ,Pete and Kev and we only have 9 to go!!

Rory you should put together a dedicated tech style article that comprises most of the info you have posted here.

^and a pair of Bill Patterson painted Toranas would be great choice!

Wow....Absolutely stunning, this torana was very lucky to be owned by you and transformed into an amazing example of craftsmanship, engineering, passion and perseverence. I hope every time you drive it feels just as amazing as the first time you took it for a spin.
Good on you for knowing what you wanted and going after it.
INSPIRED

If you ever get to Sandown there's a chance you would see Rory's other masterpiece running around.
