Did you knock off that hose from my washing machine?

I hear you about the back rocker cover bolt, I remember years ago doing the gaskets in my VR Statesman, what a bitch it was in the VR, i feel your pain in the torana.

Hey Rory, in the engine bay photo above .....where you have cable tied the fuel hose to the breather hoses...spin the joins in the cable ties so they are on the under side of the hoses...not sitting up proud waiting for you to slice the undeside of your forearm on when you work on it...
and try and get the fuel line off the radiator...minimise any possible chance of fuel evap or rub through on it.

Did the diff hat..painted it silver.... looks OK...I had suspicions about the aeromotive fuel pressure gauge so fitted a magnaflow liquid filled one..I was right!..It was sitting on 13lbs!..wound it back to 7lbs, reset the front float bowl which now sits in the middle of the glass window and it fired up and sat on 1400rpm..perfectly!!..the clouds of black smoke have gone now as well! Tomorrow I want to drop the front suspension and fit the spring insulators and while I am there will do away with all the camber adjusting tongues and fit a piece of steel tube in their place...too easy for them to fall out when there is a heap of them.I have about 8 tongues in each slot to get the neg camber where we needed it.

That's the same reason I don't use shims, I use flat washers instead.

Chop!! Ya back!!!..Yeah Yellow had the steel pipe/tubes to take up the slack but I might look at the washers if I cant find some tube tomorrow..Not keen on them falling out in the middle of 100mph plus!

Nah, just logged into the wrong automotive based forums by mistake. They fall out in street only cars, so it's not a problem exclusive to those who go faster.

All done...drivers side spring wasnt sitting in right so undid it again and jimmyed it in..all good now..used the washers like Chopper suggested...broke a bloody shock bolt on the drivers side so will drill that out and replace it..other than that...its go.
